Born and raised in France and Northern Africa , Philippe emigrated to California in 1975. He worked as a Physical Therapist for 35 years, took various sculpture classes at night and week-ends including metal casting and Ceramics. In 2000 he finally found what he was looking for when he took his first classe of Sculpture through welding at the Contra Costa College. He found in metal welding an endless possibility to integrate his past experience of body movement and balance. Philippe resides now in El Sobrante, CA and he is excited by the prospect to experiment more with this media.
